A wonderful experience!
We visited Macchiaviva Bistrot as a family group of 20 adults and 3 children last Sunday night. It was a meal to celebrate our wedding, and it was a wonderful experience. Luigi and the team were so welcoming and attentive. The service was amazing and the food was 'out of this world'! The wine was also delicious! They catered very well for the children also. The room & table were very nicely decorated, the ambience was perfect and it was great value for money. I would highly recommend! This was our second time here and I would return without hesitation! Incredible!
Surely the best restaurant of my stay in Puglia. The dishes are flavorful, the service is efficient, and the chef's explanations are a real plus. A great experience at a reasonable price not to be missed. Note that the menu is rather focused on seafood, even if there are dishes for every taste.

Don’t miss this gem in Grottiglie!
What an amazing restaurant! We reserved for lunch on a Saturday and was surprised to find the restaurant virtually empty. I hope it gets more business in the evenings or on other days as we found it to be quite exceptional, and we travel extensively and often. Support this restaurant, people! We were greeted with a delicious small amuse-bouche of fried meatballs, and followed with their variation of a Caprese salad which was out of this world. My ravioli with shrimp was terrific and my husband’s tagliolini with zucchini and guanciale also hit it out of the park. With two glasses of very good white wine and two espresso our bill came to 77 euro and worth every penny. Service was attentive and helpful- we had zero complaints and would return here again and again if we had the opportunity. I recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly. We came to Grottiglie for the ceramics, never expecting to find such a terrific restaurant in this small town, and were blown away by the sophistication and delicacy of everything we ate at Macchiaviva Bistrot.

Surprise
While visiting the ceramics district, we stumbled upon this place by chance... welcoming and quiet location with just the right number of seats.... we had two first courses, which were really good.... definitely worth trying

Fresh and contemporary proposal in the center of Grottaglie
We stopped by chance to eat something at this bistro .. a surprising discovery! We ate very well: fresh fish cooked to perfection, and as the icing on the cake … we were welcomed with smiles and courtesy. If there were more stars I would give those too!

A truly innovative restaurant, capable of standing out not only for the quality of the cuisine, but above all for the attention and care reserved for the customer. Every detail is thought out with professionalism and originality. The staff is extremely prepared, competent, and attentive to the needs of the guests, managing to create a pleasant and engaging experience from beginning to end. An unforgettable discovery
We discovered Macchiaviva bistro by chance, and what a wonderful surprise! The warm welcome from the young chef and his server, whose hospitality is remarkable, immediately put us at ease. The tasty and ultra-fresh dishes had nothing to envy from great restaurants. Note that the chef won the competition for the best orecchiette in Grottaglie this August 05!!!! As for the wine, it was excellent, and the expert advice enhanced our experience. Everything was perfect, which is why we returned to dine there a second time without hesitation. We wanted to leave this review to thank them and wish them excellent continued success, especially since the restaurant is brand new. They fully deserve success, and we wish it to them with all our hearts! We will be back, that's for sure. PS: thank you for the little gift you gave us. Highly recommended.
We stopped here a bit by chance, before going to a festival, and we were really pleasantly surprised! ❤️ We had a peppered mussel dish and some homemade tagliolini with clams: everything was truly delicious, fresh, and well-made. A special mention goes to the staff, who welcomed us right away with great kindness, friendliness, and warmth, making us feel immediately at ease. We had such a good time that we decided to return the very next day: we absolutely must try everything we didn't manage to order from the menu! 😍 A truly pleasant discovery, highly recommended!
